About IEP Pal

We saw first hand that educators, many of whom became friends, needed a way to expand support to students with special learning needs. Current systems overload teachers with administrative tasks and data, both of which require time and resources-taking away from their ability to support students. We want educators to see the long-term and positive impact of their support on students. IEP Pal exists to free teachers from that administrative burden so they can spend more time in meaningful, in-person relationships with students. We will accomplish this by empowering educators with accessible tools, robust data, and development opportunities. We will work unrelentingly to evolve learning support by consistently speaking directly with educators. In the long-term we will ensure the strengthening of teaching practice and student growth by putting both above all else.

Chugging Along

Despite being full-time servicemen, the team is still shipping and working hard on nights and weekends. Progress has been consistent, regardless of the obstacles in our way.

We are planning to run a pilot with a school in India within the next few months. The goal: validate our workflows end-to-end with real students and teachers, and iterate quickly based on what actually helps.

Project Kickoff

IEP Pal was born from listening to dozens of global educators. We began development with a clear mission: support special education teachers by housing and collecting data in one accessible place.

We listened to dozens of global educators across multiple countries and school systems. Their feedback shaped our core product decisions and continues to guide our development priorities.

Our Vision

What's the Problem?

IEP Pal was born from a need for teachers to expand support to students with special learning needs. Current systems overload teachers with administrative tasks and data, both of which require time and resources-which take away from their ability to support students. For many teachers this creates frustration over not being able to see the long-term and positive impact of their support to students. In addition, the frustration of spending more time managing paperwork than interacting with students leads to fatigue, lower morale, and disengagement from the mission of inclusion.

How are we addressing the problem?

We interviewed dozens of educators across Asia, Europe, and the US, all of whom have helped shape our software. IEP Pal standardizes the process of managing individual education plans (IEPs) for special education teachers. Our value comes from turning IEPs from static documents to leading indicators with data provided by teachers. We offer full customizability with data collection and record-keeping. This is supported with robust data security. As of now, we're running a pilot at a school in India, with several dozen students, helping educators digitize IEPs and assessment tools. We're continually iterating on our product, and in parallel, demoing new features for validation.
